The Medicalized Nursing home has a capacity of 170 places divided in 2 areas. Every area is constituted of 4 small units of life, with a capacity of 17 - 18 places. This organization, in human size, allows a catch in individualized load of the person. Of the baby in big dependency, physical and/or psychical, the persons can be received, in following structures:

We get involved on four elements which seem to us essential:
1. individualization and listening,
2. the coherence of a catch in total load of every inhabitant, whether it is on relation al, medical, psychological or emotional plan,
3. maintenance and strengthening of links with the family in the continuity of the clean history of every inhabitant,
4. the most complete possible accompaniment of different forms of taking care at the end of life.
It is about places of life where they treat, where they favour ease and comfort. Rooms benefit from a medical equipment. However,
the inhabitants can bring small pieces of furniture there and objects to which they are tied.
Self-government is preserved by being attentive not to make instead of the person what she can accomplish by herself.
According to the valuation of the needs of the person, helps to daily life, care is willing by a competent personnel, formed in the accompaniment of the old persons to the end of life.
Different animations are offered throughout the year.
An unity of life CANTOU is specialized in the reception of the persons introducing a psychical disadvantage (illness of Alzheimer and bewilderment).
A temporary accommodation can be offered according to the capacities of reception.
the specialized unit «LE CANTOU »
CANTOU is a service of the Nursing home Médicalisée with a capacity of 20 single rooms. It receives confused old persons or whose behaviour requires a specific accompaniment.
Objectives defined by the team of this unit of life in a community concerning particularly:
- the respect for the habits of life of the inhabitant (timetables of the waking(alarm clock) and breakfast, clothes, making-up, free time, etc),
- worry to support, at the farthest, physical self-government by making participate the inhabitants, according to their means and their capacities, in daily activities,
- the quality of the taking care by making sure that there is always at least a member of the team to the inhabitants,
- the assertion of the inhabitant as longer as possible in service. One decides on the transfer towards another service only if the
imperatives of medical care or the deterioration of physical self-government impose it,
- worry to offer to families an environment human, warm-hearted and adapted for their parent, father, mother or spouse,
- the wish to link families as many as possible to the life of service (meeting in admission, birthday, timetables of visit,
possibility of taking a snack with the inhabitant in rooms done up in service),
- the reception of the family, to surround better the personality of the future inhabitant and answer his needs at best,
- The activities of care, comfort for the inhabitant:
-relaxant baths.
-sessions of massages.
-care of aesthetics (making-up, hairstyle).
-various activities (taken out in group, promenades, collective games, reading).
